Become a Member

You are welcome to become a member of the MREC. There are two types of memberships: Full and Affiliate.

Full Membership

Full Memberships are available to investor-owned utilities, state-wide rural electric cooperative associations and other utilities and utility organizations. Full memberships require a formal petition to the Board of Directors. Interested parties should contact the MREC secretary at mrec@cals.wisc.edu.

Dues Full Membership (annual):

$4300 – for statewide electric cooperative associations
$1500 – for investor owned utilities

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Memberships are available to other energy organizations, trade affiliates, educational institutions, individuals and entities that may desire membership. To apply for membership send an e-mail message to the MREC secretary at mrec@cals.wisc.edu. Include the following information:

Dues Affiliate Membership (annual):

$450 – Corporate Affiliate: for an organization other than an investor owned utility or statewide electric cooperative organization
